Hey... (Nov-23-05)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I was just complaining to my apartment manager
that I won't have anyone to say that to, except
him and the janitor...

... but then I realized I've got you, too.

So...

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Speak soon...

A sharp rumor... (Nov-03-05)

Just a quick note today regarding mail-in orders
and a rumor.

Firstly...

We will no longer be accepting checks or money-
orders, as they are too time consuming and a vast
majority of athletes order online.

The final date for this us accepting them is:

--> Wednesday, November 9.

Say it again with me:

--> Wednesday, November 9.

It's next Wednesday!

Any checks/money-orders sent after this will
either be sent back or lost in the mail. We accept
*no* responsibility for them.

Those who still want to send mail-in orders will
have the option of a direct funds transfer, but
you will need to e-mail Jason about this on:
--> tvp@theverticalproject.com

Also, if you have an order pending or on the way,
just shoot us an e-mail to clarify it.

-------------------------------------
Now to a rumour you may have heard...
-------------------------------------

Let me clear the air, Luke...

A nasty rumour has been circulating in the past
few weeks... and I want to put in my 2 cents.

Someone, somewhere has been telling people that I
will closing down TheVerticalProject.com before
Christmas, or by the start of the New Year.

Sure, it's a rumour...

... but it has some truth!

I have been considering closing the site, since
there are now a lot of athletes who have my
incredible system for their use - at least 2,000
the last time it was counted.

Really, I don't want too many people to have it
because it's *that* powerful... and I have so many
elite clients, it's difficult to maintain this at
the same time.

We haven't made a decision yet, but anything could
happen.

If we do go ahead and close the site, I'll still
be sending out e-mails every now and then, but the
system will be 100% off-limits, except to those
who have already bought it.

Alright Luke. That will do for today.

Just wanted to drop you with these pieces of info
so you would hear it from the horse's mouth.

God bless you...

I'm angry... (Oct-26-05)

I really am angry.

On October 7 - just a few weeks ago - I sent out
an email I received from a guy named Remington.

Do you remember?

In it, he explained to us just how incredible his
results have been, because.

--> He's now got at least a whopping
*45 inch* vertical jump, all thanks
to my system.

-----------------------
You can see Remington's hops in action here:
--> http://www.theverticalproject.com/rem.htm
-----------------------

To me, *results like this are nothing unusual.*

... I deal with it everyday.

But to some people, results like these make them
either angry... or jealous... or just plain
skeptical.

So, you know what we did?

*Against my better judgement*, we gave out his
e-mail address (with his permission), so that
anyone could contact him and get him to verify his
claims.

Now, I hate giving out other people's email
addresses because there are just so many idiotic,
moronic... gutless fools out there who go and do
stupid things.

But we gave out his email address anyway, because
we thought we could trust people.

... and this created a storm.

We got flooded with emails accusing us of lying,
of creating bullsh*t pictures... and of paying
this guy off.

... and apparently so did Remington.

Here's exact e-mails between Remington and myself
earlier *today* - cut and pasted here for you:

Hey Luke,

Once again, thank you. I know you never said I
was an employee. I also am grateful to you for
taking care of this personally.

As soon as I get the new pictures, I will send
them to you. I love this program you have
created.

I have acheived exceptional resuls with this
program and I want as many as people as
possible to see that this program really does
work.

I felt like the photos I submitted before were
damn convincing, but if people need more proof
I can give it to them.

Like you I have nothing to hide and will
gladly do anything to prove my claims.

Thanks,
Rem

Remington has made it quite clear, don't you
think?

Anyway then - this has brought an end to us
ever handing out personal details of anyone who
gives testimony to our training system...

... because there are just too many
sad, lost, ass*oles in this dirty
planet.

And to you haters - I have just one thing to say:

It's not his fault he now
has an incredible vertical leap...

... AND YOU DON'T!

----------------------------------------------
Actually, I want to say *more* for the haters:
----------------------------------------------

If you lack the balls... or the desire... or the
commitment... then your life is decided for you
already.

Here it is:

You will wallow in the cess-poll of mediocrity
for the rest of your days... wishing against all
possibility that you could have your time over
again... complaining that life never gave you a
break... and when you find out it's your *own*
skin you can't stand, maybe you'll do us all a
favor and end it.

Your behavior truly and completely disgusts me.

The unsubscribe link is at the bottom of this
email - go and click on it and masturbate for the
rest of the day.

I don't want to see you ever again.

And I'm certainly not expending any more precious
energy on your worthless a*s.

--------------
To Remington -

You're a class act, and have behaved so this whole
time. I'm sorry for d*ckheads, but the honest and
good people that are subscribed to my list think
you have shown your colors, too.

Your page will remain intact, until you ever
decide to give us more photo's - or until you
hit that 50-inch mark:
http://www.theverticalproject.com/rem.htm

------------
And to you -
------------

I'm sorry if I've offended you, but I'm passionate
about this type of thing.

Imagine if it happened to you...

At least you know I'd be there 100% behind you.

The reports are all 100% true, check them out:

... and - to confirm it yet again - so is Rem's:

I have to come clean - I lied... twice! (Oct-20-05)

I'm so sorry.

If you read the link I give you below, you'll know
why I'm a liar... and who caught me out the first
time.

It's an incredible story. You'll love it.

But my second lie is different...

A couple of weeks ago, I sent a series of emails
detailing 3 'unheard' squatting tips. Many people
wrote to me, astounded by the way those tips
impacted their ability to squat much heavier
loads.

At the end of that series, I told you about a
certain "magical formula" and I said that it was
only available if you took the $50 gift and
purchased the JumpUSA weight-belt.

Remember?

It would be smart to read exactly what I wrote in
that email again:

-------
>
> And... when you claim your $50 certificate
> and your weight-belt within this time-frame,
> you will also receive the "magical formula"

-------

Get ready for it...

That was a lie, too!

----
WHY?
----

Because I've given special notice to my team to
let you have the "magical formula" if you go ahead
and order our "Double Your Vertical Leap" training
system right now...

>> BUT ONLY IF YOU ORDER IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS!!

--------------------
Why am I doing this?
--------------------

Here's the first reason:

So many people wrote in *begging* for the "magical
formula".. but they didn't want the weight-belt!

My second reason:

Well, my second reason is a story.

You really want to know?

Go and read this incredible story now:

Don't miss out. There's only 24-hours

Part 3 of "unheard" squatting tips! (Oct-09-05)

The response so far to my 3-part squatting series
has been so good... that we decided to hold you in
suspense for part 3 just a day longer!

Without further ado, here's part 3 of my 'unheard'
squatting tips.

This actually has two parts to it... and is a tip
that I give especially to athletes.

In other words, you're going to like it.

Better yet, this email contains that gift I've
been telling you about (actually, there are two!)

These tips are less to do with form and technique
and a lot more to do with things that assist the
jumper.

The two aspects I discuss relate to two of the
most common questions we get emailed with:

-1-> Do bands and chains increase vert?

-2-> ... and what about weight vests?

The answers (and your 2 gifts!) are all below.

Check 'em out.

- Luke

====================================
DO BANDS AND CHAINS INCREASE VERT?
====================================

Bands and chains, by their very nature, actually
decrease power output the higher the athlete
jumps.

Big claim - but here's why:

The higher the athlete squats using bands and
chains, the greater the resistance. The greatest
load is actually at the *top* of the motion.

This is not the case in a natural jumping motion.

Same goes for the bench press...

In nature, the greatest load bared is at the
*bottom* and/or mid-range of the movement, not
the top.

Training with bands/chains effectively teaches an
athlete to become *slower*, the higher they rise
in the jumping motion!

The problem here is that a vast majority of
athletes need to *increase* speed the higher they
progress through the motion.

This is *exactly* why pool work is so vital in
effectively re-creating the natural jumping
setting (especially when done to a specific
frequency) - all without the bone-crunching
pressure of carrying gravity!

Because of the water, you actually decrease load
bared the higher you jump - and this is ideal for
increasing vertical jump explosion!

This is what I call "Progressive Acceleration" and
it's something I discuss and teach in Volume 1 of
my system.

It's a also a reason why so many of my athletes
are known as 'fast' jumpers.

Clearly then, the problem with bands and chains
is that they encourage progressive *de*celeration,
which means you a likely to:

-1-> Jump slower

-AND-

-2-> Jump lower!

** Who wants to do that?!?! **

The solution:

-- Don't Use Bands And Chains --

==================================
... AND WHAT ABOUT WEIGHT-VESTS?
==================================

OK, here's an interesting one.

Good ol' weight-vests.

Many people ask us about weight-vests and using
them for increasing vertical leap.

The idea is that by increasing the weight you do
your jump training at, you will be 'lighter' when
you play... and therefore jump higher when the
vest is removed during competiton.

Good in theory...

... bad in practice.

Here's why:

It's true that weight-vests do provide added
weight to your training and jumping movements, but
they do so at a cost - actually two costs.

-1-> The first is that the speed at which
you can perform the actual movement
is greatly hindered, so your
neurological system is trained to
react and move slower, which:

--> Decreases Your Vertical <--

This is because the faster you move
through the jumping motion, generally
the higher you'll jump.

Weight-vests prevent this. (Well, to an
extent - I'll explain later how a
little-known "magical formula" is your
only hope of reversing this...)

-2-> The second major disadvantage of
weight-vests is that they are
really, really, really bad news
for your back.

The reason for this lies in how
the weight is distributed through
the spine and how the un-even load
is compensated by much of the upper
spine.

** Here's a wise secret... **

The brain and the spine control
the neurological system... and the
height of your vertical jump is
completely and totaly dependent on
the functioning of your neuro-
logical system.

Therefore, the *last* thing you ever
want to compromise in your quest
for a higher vertical is your brain
and your spine. Weight-vests do
exactly this, so they are bad news!

So, the question becomes: How can you effectively
mimic this situation of training at a heavier
weight - WITHOUT compromising your performance or
your precious back?

The answer is the weight-belt.

The major reason the weight-belt is superior to
the weight-vest is because you carry the load
perfectly at your center of gravity (your hips/
pelvic area).

This means two important thing for vertical-leap
training and your neurological system:

-1-> Your body unconconsciously registers
the added weight, due to the close
proximity of the weight-belt to your
center of gravity and the fact that
outer or upper limbs do not have to
hold the weight.

-2-> You remove the bone-jarring load
from your all-important spine, too.
This is obviosuly great for safety
and longevity.

So, the verdict on weight-vests?

-- Don't Use Weight-Vests --

But... use a weight-belt instead!!

========================
WHERE'S MY GIFT, LUKE?
========================

I'm glad you asked...

Why?

Because it's unbelieveable... incredible even.

I've just told you how great a weight-belt is for
increasing your vertical leap - right?

-------------------------------
Well, here's my first gift...
-------------------------------

For the next 48-HOURS ONLY you've been given a
$US50 certificate to purchase the world's best
weight-belt... complete *with* 30lbs of weights,
too!

A $50 certificate- all yours, f*ree!

OK, you following?

Good...

This is only going to last until 9pm, this
Wednesday October 12 (Los Angeles time)...

------------------------------
And here's my second gift...
------------------------------

And... when you claim your $50 certificate
and your weight-belt within this time-frame, you
will also receive the "magical formula" that
prevents your neurological system being hindered
by the extra weight held on the belt.

And guess what?

--> This "magical formula" alone is worth the
whole price of weight-belt - because it
will increase your vertical just as soon
as you apply it!

Here's why:

Remember how I said when you carry extra weight as
you train, your movements become slower and your
vertical actually *decreases*?

Well - this is a *thing of the past* when you have
the power of this "magical formula" at your
fingertips!

So, here's exactly what you need to do to claim
this $50 account... and the answers to all the
questions you might have:

--------------------
Q - What do I get?
--------------------

A - JumpUSA's Hypergravity weight-belt,
(including 30 lbs of weight!) This
normally sells for $149.95...

BUT... for the next 48 hours, you
get to snatch it for just $99.95!

-NB-: This only applies to the
$149.95 Hypergravity
weight-belt.

And - of course - I'll also reveal
the "magical formula" to you, as
well!

----------------------------------
Q - How long will this last for?
----------------------------------

A - I just got off the phone to JumpUSA
a couple of minutes ago and this can
ONLY last until this Wednesday night,
October 12 (Los Angeles time)...

And they are very strict about this!

--------------------------------
Q - So, how do I claim my $50?
--------------------------------

A - You need to do just 3 easy things:

1) Go to the link below and
you'll see the Hypergravity
belt (incl. 30lbs of weight)
for $149.95...
http://tinyurl.com/854b2

2) Complete the order process
with your shipping details,
etc etc...

3) After you've done your shipping
details and before you're asked
to pay, you need to copy-n-paste
this $50 cash code in the field
marked...

"If you have a Regular Coupon
Code, enter it here:"

Here's the code: CP868
Again (copy-n-paste!): CP868

Then, when you click "Redeem"
you'll see the price drop by a
HUGE $50... from $149.95 to
just $99.95!!

-NB-: This is ONLY available for
online orders... so you must
follow the instructions above!

What are you still here for?

You really should be heading over to grab your
$50 gift now:
http://tinyurl.com/854b2

Remember, you must copy-n-paste:
--> CP868

... where the order form asks:
"If you have a Regular Coupon Code, enter it here:"

Something amazing just happened... (Oct-07-05)

Part 3 is coming on Monday because...

--> Something amazing happened after I
emailed out part 2 of my 'Unheard'
squatting tips yesterday.

I received an email from a guy called Remington...

Remington is another one my students, but here's
what's so amazing...

--> He can clean jump over his
friend... WHO IS 6'3"!

I think he got excited when he saw that I emailed
out Rico's letter. Actually, Remington emailed me
some pictures.

So, I've forwarded you his email just as he sent
it to me yesterday and...

--> I've attached his pictures so you
can *see* his results for yourself!
(Go to the link after you read the
email below)

Remember - we can't forward you full names or
email addresses, so to maintain international

Hey Luke,

I am a 5'10" 140 pound male living in Florida.
Before purchasing this program I was able to just
barely dunk with one hand (as you can see in the
picture).

Most people were impressed that I was only 5'10"
and I could throw-down, but I wanted something
that would get me to the point where I could do
the kind of dunks you see in the And One videos.

Luke and his system have delivered in a very big
way.

I can currently touch the top square on the back-
board with BOTH hands.

I can also do the dunk by Vince Carter where he
sticks his elbow inside the rim and hangs.

Did I mention I am only 5'10"?

I can jump over my friend who is 6'3" (see the
picture).

I have not had my vertical measured since using
the new system, but I would (very conservatively
say) it is around 45 inches.

Maybe more.

Before purchasing this program my vertical was
measured at 32 inches. So, that is a gain of at
least 13 inches within three months and as you
can tell from the other testimonials these are
pretty typical results.

I am currently being looked at by a few college
scouts, so thanks to Luke and his awesome system I
may be playing college ball.

I highly recommend this program for anyone
interested in increasing their vertical. Even if
you can already dunk, this system can take you to
the next level.
http://www.theverticalproject.com/proof/order.htm

Why settle for being an average dunker, when with
this system you can be a legend?

Sincerely,

Rem C.

P.S. Luke is a genius!

Here is part 2... (Oct-06-05)

As promised, here is part 2 of the report...

I rushed to get this out to you because I know it
can really boost your efforts, sometimes by as
much as

--> 15%... in just 1 workout!

How?

Well read on, my friend...

-2-> Head - Butt - Eyes - Heels - Butt
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Upon stepping under the rack and placing
the bar across your traps (back of
shoulder-blades) you must follow the
order, keeping your transverse abdominus
(TA) contracted at *all* times:

-> HEAD
Standing straight up under the weight
of the squat bar, make sure your head
positioned vertically - *not* looking
upwards, as some say... or downwards.

-> BUTT
Lower into the squat, initiating the
squat using your butt instead of your
knees.
This is important, as most athletes
& people tend to initiate the squat
through their knee and this can cause
a lot of undue stress because the knee
then becomes the 'weakest link' and
all pressure is transferred there.
Instead, you want your butt/glutes
to become the 'weakest link' and
allow initial stress to be placed
there.
This is crucial - the primary move
should be through your glutes/hips,
not through your knees... it is much
safer... and the hips play a more
vital role in jump height anyway.
You want to imagine sitting on a
toilet, not allowing your knees to
vertically pass your toes. This means
your shins *must* be as close to
vertical as possible.

-> EYES
During the entire descent, make sure
you lock your eyes on your own eyes.
Obviously, you'll need a mirror for
this - it helps to ensure you don't
look upwards or downwards.
I'm not going to go into the hows
and whys of this - just trust me.

-> HEELS
At the bottom of the squat, ideally
you want your thighs to be parallel
with the floor, with your TA and butt
contracted safely.
This is where your heels driving
through the floor helps. Instead of
standing up, you want to apply as much
pressure to the ground with your heels
as you can, imagining your are trying
to bust through the floor with your
heels.

-> BUTT
As you start to rise, you'll be need to
be tightening your butt and semi-
thrusting your hips forward.
You will immediately notice this
increases the weight you lift and takes
the stress from your knees.

That should do for now.

Go over this a few times before you apply it to
the squat rack...

Head - Butt - Eyes - Heels - Butt

Head - Butt - Eyes - Heels - Butt!!

H-B-E-H-B

H-B-E-H-B!!

Get up and try it in your living room or your
bedroom now (without weight to perfect it)...

Go on!

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

You back yet?

Good.

Tomorrow I'll be sending you part 3 of this
special report.

This one will be very important and answer two
questions that *especially* relate to those who
want to increase their vertical leap.

... sounds like you and me!

======
And...
======

I'll also be sending you the details of a f*ree
and very limited-time-only gift.

After you'll read tomorrow's report, you'll see
how this gift will assist you...

Whatever you do - DON'T MISS IT.

I'm not in the habit of giving things away for
f*ree, but this time... I don't have a choice!

Other than that, if you haven't already done so,
I *stongly* suggest you grab yourself:

I gotta get this off my chest... (Oct-05-05)

To make up for being out of touch for a while, I
want to get something off my chest.

-> Something that could greatly help you out.

I was in the gym a few weeks ago and - as often
happens when I'm at the gym - I got pulled up by
the head instructor and asked to give a couple of
guys a run-down on proper squatting technique.

Fair enough.

This happens *regularly* where I train and work
with clients. This same trainer pulls me up to
correct some poor fool who is have knee problems,
a terribly sore back, and/or making no gains in
his squat.

So, I thought what I have to say to these people
would help you.

First things first.

Most athletes realize the squat is important to
any sort of consistent gains. But other than guys
like you and me who are hell-bent on increasing
vertical leap, very, very few people actually
have the balls to squat regularly, or with any
kind of effect or results.

Generally an athlete will squat with much more
success than a regular person will and there is
only one reason for this:

-> Athletes legs are conditioned to carrying heavy loads.

So, initially, I try to get the person to squat
like an athlete.

Here's a list of 3 'un-heard' tips to send your
squat through the roof...

-1-> Squat Through Your Heels
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The first and perhaps most subtle point
for improving your squat is how you
choose to focus the lift.

Many athletes are focused on *raising*
the weight, and this encourages a slight
forward tilt, bringing the quads and
calves much more into play.

This is *not* how you want to emphasise
the lift.

Instead, you should focus on driving the
back of the heel through the ground. The
idea is that you are trying to break
through the ground (pushing downwards),
as opposed to driving upwards.

As I said, it's a very subtle thing, but
it will make sure you don't go too far
forward and compromise your knees and it
will also help to ensure your glutes do
more of the work... which, in turn, makes
gains faster, your training safer...

-> And your vertical leap *much* higher!

Go and try it today, because tomorrow I'm going
to e-mail you the second tip.

Look for it tomorrow!
